William John Yaw, a great grandson of John Yaw and Sarah Richards of Washfield, near Tiverton, was born in Somerset at North Petherton in 1868. He married Emma Alderman; they lived at Bampton and had four children there, whose births were all registered with the surname Yeo:
– Robert James Yeo (1894–1960, married Bessie Clarke, one son)
– William Yeo (1895–1919)
– Joseph Yeo (1897–1897)
– Frederick Yeo (see Frederick Yeo and Ethel Mary Knight)
before moving to Hampshire and having six more children:
– John Yeo (1900–1970)
– Dorothy Emma Yeo (1902–1938)
– Emily Yeo (born 1904)
– Emma Yeo (1905–1906)
– Edward Yeo (1906–1906)
– Bessie Yeo (1910–1982, married Harold Arthur Wilmer and Edwin Bradbury Allen).
