Henry Yeo was born in Bodmin in 1859, the eldest son of John Palmer Yeo and Mary Anne Hambly. He married Catherine Ann Spencer Beare at the parish church in Tamerton Foliot on 1 January 1887, They had four children before emigrating to South Australia, where Henry died in 1940:

– Walter Yeo (born 1890)
– Augustus Beare Yeo (1893–1950, emigrated to Ontario, married Margaret Wood, son Richard Mansfield Yeo born 1922)
– Catherine Yeo (born 1897).
Henry Spencer Yeo (born at Illogan in 1887, son of Henry Yeo and Catherine Ann Spencer Beare) married Eva Newns in 1915. They had three children:
– Harold Spencer Yeo (born 1916, married Dorothy Jones, no recorded children)
– Donald Yeo (born 1919, died on 2 December 1940 while serving with the Royal Navy, commemorated on the war memorial at Chatham)
– Monica Yeo (born 1921).
