The records of Summerfield United Methodist church in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia list two Yeo marriages in 1866. Samuel Yeo married Sarah M. Giberson on 10 August, and John Yeo married Sophia Gent on 23 October.
Samuel and Sarah appear to have had five children:
– William S. Yeo (1868–1929)
– George S. Yeo (1869–1969)
– Joanna M. Yeo (1872–1971)
– Edwin Arthur Yeo (see below)
– Samuel P. Yeo (1879–1956)
Samuel Yeo senior died in Philadelphia in 1906.
Edwin Arthur Yeo (1878–1957, son of Samuel Yeo and Sarah Giberson), married Blanche Edna Wilkins and had two children:
– Edwin Arthur Yeo (born 1908)
– Blanche Beatrice Yeo (born 1909)
The family of four is recorded in the 1910 census for Philadelphia: they are living in Marshall Street with Edwin’s parents-in-law Charles and Clara Wilkins.
Nothing else is known about John and Sophia.
