Much has been written about links between the Triplett and Yeo families, but there is little firm evidence to support it. The events described pre-date the available parish registers.
Joan Yeo [note 1] was the youngest of four children of William Yeo and Joan Fulford. There are sources that refer to her as the wife of John Triplett and suggesting that they married at Padstow in the sixteenth century – there were Tripletts at Padstow and Poundstock at about that time. They might have had a daughter called Joan.
