Elizabeth Yeo was a great granddaughter of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Gist and a daughter of Thomas Yeo and Grace Ashton. She was baptised at Bradworthy in 1796, emigrated to Prince Edward Island and later moved to San Francisco.
Elizabeth married twice. Her first marriage was to Richard Watts at Kilkhampton in 1815.
Soon after Richard’s death in 1830, Elizabeth emigrated to Prince Edward Island with at least two of her five children. She married John Pippy there in 1831 – John was a shipbuilder and sea captain who had been married twice before. Elizabeth had six children with him, including:
– Benjamin Yeo Pippy (1835–1900, married and moved to New York, two children).
Elizabeth is assumed to have died in San Francisco, but no record of her death has been found.
