Richard Yeo (1786–1867, youngest son of Robert Yeo and Susanna Down) was baptised at Merton. He married Susanna Pilliphant at Merton in 1810; they had 11 children, the first three baptised at Merton:
– Susanna Yeo (baptised c1810)
– Mary Ann Yeo (1811–1878, married Benjamin Rowe at Okehampton in 1832) [note 1]
– Elizabeth Yeo (1813–1893, married Samuel Copp at Great Torrington in 1835) [note 2]
followed by five baptised at St Giles in the Wood:

– Richard Yeo (baptised 1822)
– Francis Yeo (baptised 1824)
– Thomas Yeo (baptised 1828)
and three after the family moved to Great Torrington:

Robert Yeo (1816–1889, son of Richard Yeo and Susanna Pilliphant) married Mary Ann Fulford at Bideford Register Office in 1842 and emigrated with her to Prince Edward Island. Their seven children were born there:

William Yeo (1819–1884, son of Richard Yeo and Susanna Pilliphant) married Ann Williams at Alwington in 1846. Sheila Yeo recorded their six children:

Robert Yeo (1852–1921, son of Robert Yeo and Mary Ann Fulford) married Orentha Pridham. Their ten children were born in Prince Edward Island:

– Elizabeth Abelena Yeo (1883–1972, married Colin Campbell Rix)
– Daniel Preston Tuplin Yeo (1885–1959, married Annie Bruce, four children, died in Massachusetts)
– William Colwill Yeo (1887–1972, married Annie Sanderson, three children, died in Massachusetts)
– Ruby Hannah Yeo (1890–1970, married Robert George Thurlow)
– Eliza Campbell Gordon Yeo (1891–1983, married John Alexander MacLeod, died in Massachusetts)
– George Earl Yeo (1892–1955, married Mary Livingstone, five children)
– Harry Secord Yeo (1895–1973, married Gladys Josephine Corbett, four sons)
– Sampson Robert Yeo (1896–1954, married Bertha Coburn, four children).
William Yeo (1843–1918, son of Robert Yeo and Mary Ann Fulford) married Jane Brundage. They had two children:
– Bridget Jane Yeo (1874–1918, married John Patrick Henderson)
– John Thomas Yeo (1875–1905).
Frank Yeo (1847–1920, son of Robert Yeo and Mary Ann Fulford) married Mary Ann Carmault. They had four children:
– Mary Louisa Yeo (1880–1915, married Nathaniel Fairley)
– Robert Ernest Yeo (1882–1932)
– Oliver Harman Yeo (1885–1967, married Charlotte Elizabeth Bryenton)
– Catherine Ann Yeo (1888–1964, married Sanford Whelock Connors).
Thomas Yeo (1848–1929, son of Robert Yeo and Mary Ann Fulford) married Mary Elizabeth Hosford 1893 in New Brunswick. They had three children:
– John Thomas Lawless Yeo (born c1895) [note 3]
– Alma Florence Pearl Yeo (1897–1969, married George Ferris Sweet) [note 4]
– Gladys Hazel Yeo (1899–1984, married Ernest William Cotton).
Richard Yeo (1858–1939, son of William Yeo and Ann Williams) was born at Monkleigh. He had three children with his wife Ellen Jane Ellis:

– Ethel Yeo (1883–1961, married Reginald Radclift)
– Nellie Yeo (1885–1918).
James Yeo (1850–1930, son of Robert Yeo and Mary Ann Fulford) remained in Prince Edward Island, where he married Mary Ann Chisholm. They had nine children, including:
– Horatio Nelson Yeo (1880–1906, died in the United States)
– Frank Wentworth Yeo (see below)
– Robert Charles Mackenzie Yeo (1888–1979, married Etta Blanche Acorn, six children).
Frank Wentworth Yeo (1880–1977, son of James Yeo and Mary Ann Chisholm) married Susan Augusta Gibbs [note 5]). They had three children:
– Wentworth Arthur Yeo (1910–1979, married Zena Frances Barbour, two daughters)
– Mabel Helen Pearl Yeo (1912–1969, married Thomas Harrison)
– Georgia Annie Yeo (1928–1937).
Richard Herbert Yeo (1881–1956, son of Richard Yeo and Ellen Jane Ellis) married Lucy Emma Featherstone. They had two children:
– Gretchen Elizabeth Yeo (1909–1991, married Alexander Reginald Clark)
– Richard Featherstone Yeo (1911–1973, married Mabel Florence McQueen).

1. Baptised as Mary Yeo.
2. The 1881 census records Samuel and Elizabeth at Abbots Langley in Hertfordshire, where Samuel is a pub licensee. Their 16-year-old granddaughter Emily Collacott (daughter of their daughter Louisa Copp) is listed with them.
3. John is included in a pedigree by Sheila Yeo, but no confirmed records have been found for him.
4. Alma’s husband is also recorded as George A. Sweet.
5. This 1909 marriage appears to have been a Methodist ceremony held at the home of the bride’s parents. The parties were recorded as Frank Wentwith Yeo and Susie Augusta Gibbs.
