David Yeo Bartholomew Tanqueray (1896–1944) was the youngest of three children of Andrew Hawkins Tanqueray and Alice Lucy Cory, who married in London in 1887.
David was an engineer; he married Marjorie Edith Bryant née Macdonald in London in 1938. They lived in Peterborough with their son David (born shortly before David senior started his Second World War service with the King’s Rifle Regiment – his rank was Acting Captain in 1939).
