Sarah Elizabeth Yeo was baptised at the parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Plaistow in 1834, the youngest of six children of William and Sarah Yeo. She baptised a son William Lewis Yeo (1851–1854) at the parish church of All Saints, West Ham in 1852.
Sarah married Joseph William West at the same church in 1857. They had eight children between 1858 and 1875.
Joseph died in 1882. Sarah survived him, and lived until 1912.
