Sydney Ellis Yeo (1892–1962) was the eldest son of James Yeo and Louisa Ellis. He had a line of descent from Yeo families at Sticklepath and Sampford Courtenay.
Sydney married Hilda Beatrice Crossman at St Austell in 1923; they had four children:
– Sydney Quentin Crossman Yeo (1917–1979 [note 1], married Frances Connell, two children)
– Constance Valerie Yeo (1919–1992, married Stanley Greenaway and William Russell Ward)
– William Yeo (1923–2010, married Phyllis Eileen Pengelly)
– Douglas Yeo.
