George William Yeo, a great grandson of William Yeo and Mary Freeman of Sampford Courtenay, was born in Islington, north London in 1877. His parents were Walter Herbert Yeo and Mary Ann Brooks.
He married Beatrice Mary Hall in Birmingham in 1902. The 1939 Register records them living at 55 Philip Sydney Road in the Sparkhill district of the city, where 63-year-old George is a painter and decorator. Neither of their two sons are present:
– Frank William Yeo (1926–2022, married Eileen Watton)
– Alan Yeo (1932–2010, married Hazel Waterson).
George died in Birmingham in 1961.
