Jonas William Yeo (1836–1879, youngest son of Joshua Yeo and Alice Duffy) married Emily Platt Robinson in Richmond, Indiana in 1857. They had at least five children:
– Harry Martin Yeo (see below)
– Robert Yeo (born c1862)
– Herbert Robinson Yeo (1864–1883)
– Willard Frederick Yeo (see below)
– William George Yeo (1872–1964, died in California).
Harry Martin Yeo (1857–1921 [note 1], son of Jonas William Yeo and Emily Platt Robinson) married Laura Elizabeth Shute [note 2] in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1892. Their three children were born in Indiana:
– Ruth Anna Yeo (1893–1968, married Lloyd Burgess Curtis)
– William Yeo (born c1894)
– Emily Yeo (1896–1995, married Ross Waldo Bates).
Willard Frederick Yeo (1870–1941, son of Jonas William Yeo and Emily Platt Robinson) married Mary Zelinda Doan in Indiana in 1896. They had three children:
– Matilda Macy Yeo (1899–1989, married Jack Frederick Harrold)
– Natalie Robinson Yeo (1901–1934 [note 3], married Brockway Paine)
– Erwin Platt Yeo (1910–1948).
Notes
1. Harry’s dates of birth and death are from Sheila Yeo, based on information supplied by Jean Gaw Buckley. Other researchers have recorded Harry’s dates as 1880–1936.
2. Laura’s marriage to Harry appears to have been annulled. She re-married in 1909, to Walter Middleton Webster.
3. Natalie trained as a pianist and organist. An article dated 12 October 1933 from the Los Angeles newspaper Lincoln Heights Bulletin describes her as a member of a theatre orchestra.
