John Yeo (1806–1869, son of Robert Yeo and Elizabeth Westaway) was baptised at Stoke Damerel. He moved to London, where he married Emma Allamby at Christ Church, Spitalfields in 1841.
John and Emma had five children:
– John Thomas Yeo
– Edwin Robert Yeo
– Emma Sophia Yeo (1845–1917, married William James Maxey)
– Mary Ann Yeo (born 1847)
– Hannah Yeo (1848–1849).
Emma died in 1849; John Yeo re-married in 1853 at the parish church of St Mary, Newington. No children are recorded from this second marriage, to Maria Evans née Beech [note 1].

1. Maria was the widow of Edward Evans, who she married in 1847. The 1861 census lists John and Maria at 12 Lapon Street, Bermondsey with Maria’s son George Evans, John’s son Edwin Yeo (recorded as Edward) and John’s daughter Mary Ann Yeo.
