Daniel Henry Yeo was born in Ontario, the second son of Devon emigrant Henry Yeo, who was originally from Pancrasweek.
Sheila Yeo was able to trace much of this line of descent, with the help of Alan Richards, Jean Ashfield and of Daniel’s descendant Tim Yeo.
Daniel Henry Yeo [note 1] (1854–1917, son of Henry Yeo and Mary Cornforth Dobson) married three times. There were three children from his 1880 marriage to Jane Elizabeth Wright:
– Laurena Jane Yeo (born 1882, married Bruce Ronald)
– Robert Elgin Yeo (1880–1881)
– Mary Anna Yeo (born 1886, married Charles Patmore)
Jane died in 1890; Henry married Ann Elizabeth Armstrong in 1892. They had at least five children:
– Percy Armstrong Yeo (see below)
– Pearl Elizabeth Yeo (1895–1901)
– Lyla May Yeo [note 2]
– Annie Ethel Yeo (born 1898)
– Harriet Myrtle Yeo (born 1900, married Harold Lamerson)
Ann died in 1901; Henry married Catherine Underwood in 1907. No children are recorded from this third marriage.
Percival Armstrong Yeo (1895–1964, son of Daniel Henry Yeo and Ann Elizabeth Armstrong) was known as Percy [note 3]. He had a son with his first wife Florence Mary McConachie:
– Floyd Henry Yeo (see below).
Florence died in 1915. Two years later, Percy married Evelyn Margaret Drew. They had eight children, including:
– Charles Robert Yeo (1918–1993, married Beatrice Mary Borucki and Margaret Rose Koch, died in Florida)
– Gerald Austin Yeo (1920–1998, married Ruth Rosemary Reck in 1938 and Dorothy Frances March in 1945)
– Louise Myrtle Yeo (1921–2007, married Thomas Elmer Sleeth in 1940)
– James Edward Yeo (1923–1944, died in Italy see War deaths)
– Alfred Harry Yeo (1924–2012)
– Harry Lodel Yeo (1926–2022, married Doris Jean Jameson)
– William Martin Yeo (1928–2000, married Helene McLeod).
Floyd Henry Yeo (1914–1987 [note 4], son of Percy Armstrong Yeo and Florence McConachie) was born at Lansing, Michigan. He moved to Ontario and married twice, to Reta Amelia Minard and to Violet Angeline McGill. Floyd had 13 children, including:
– Leonard Carl Yeo (1928–1989, married Helen Mitchell)
– Floyd Ronald Yeo (1933–2012, married Dorothy Catherine Wilker 1951 in Connecticut, children born in Ontario)
– Melville Percy Yeo (1930–2005, six children)
– Florence Gertrude Yeo (1936–2007, married Earl William Jackson and Murray Gordon Murrell)
– John Robert Yeo (1939–2011)
– Darlene Catherine Yeo (1945–2011).
– Timothy Charles Yeo (1953–2019, married Beverly Ann Simms, three children)
– Nancy-Lee Yeo (1955–2015, married twice)
– Carolin Edith Yeo (1958–2018, married twice)
– Carl Harvey Yeo (1959–2018 married twice, four children)
– Barbara Ann Yeo (1960–2003, married surname Graham).

1. Confused by some researchers with Daniel Henry Yeo, son of Daniel Yeo and Maria Kinsman, who married Nellie May Struthers in Ontario in 1900.
2. Born about 1897 in Grey, Ontario. Another daughter, who did not survive infancy, might have been born about a year earlier and given the same name.
3. The original structure of Percy’s family was from research by Sheila Yeo’s correspondent Tim Yeo.
4. Also recorded as Floyd Henry Reed Yeo and as Henry Reed Yeo. It has not proved possible to assign Floyd’s children to his two marriages, and some of the birth years shown for them might not be accurate.
