Grace Yeo Harding

There were two women in the north Devon parish of Woolfardisworthy with this name.

The first was baptised there in 1821 to parents John Harding (1786–1847) and Thomazine Short (1791–1864). Her second forename presumably came from her maternal grandmother Grace Yeo (1768–1803, who married Thomas Short at Woolfardisworthy in 1790).

Grace Yeo Harding married Daniel Cann at a nonconformist ceremony in Holsworthy in 1869.

Grace had an older sister Thomazine Yeo Harding (1827–1909), who married twice. She married James Prance at Woolfardisworthy in 1826 and after his death married John Tucker at the register office in Great Torrington in 1884.

Daniel and Grace had a daughter Grace Yeo Harding, born in Woolfardisworthy in 1863. She appears not to have married, and she died in the town of Bideford in 1929.
