1. If they did marry, it would have been about 1900, outside England and Wales. Bertha died in 1966 at the age of 85. It is possible that John William Yeo senior died in France in 1918; there appears to be no record of his birth.
2. The 1921 census for Cleethorpes records Bertha as a 45-year-old widow. Her children Anne, John, Barbara and Norman are listed with her, as are her older sons Claude Turner (born 1897) and Frederick Turner Yeo (born 1900).
