According to research by Humphrey Toms and Reg Walter, William Yeo, the second son of John Yeo and Rebecca Rolle of Hatherleigh, married Sarah Heathman at West Buckland in 1637. They had three sons:
– John Yeo (c1638–1685, married Mary Ley, three children, no known grandchildren)
– William Yeo (c1639–1689, married Frances Cliffe and baptised eight children at Merton including Robert Yeo and William Yeo, see below)
– Thomas Yeo (baptised c1645, rector of Swimbridge, Chittlehampton and Morthoe, seven children, no known grandchildren).
After Sarah’s death, William married Elizabeth Griffin at East Buckland in 1671. They had two sons:
– Samuel Yeo (see below)
– Leonard Yeo (baptised 1679, married Ann Berry and Rebecca Main, one daughter, no known grandchildren).
William was buried at Merton in 1687.
Samuel Yeo (1674–1726, son of William Yeo and Sarah Heathman) married Susanna Laney at Swimbridge in 1730. They had two children:
– John Yeo (baptised 1703 at Swimbridge, married Elizabeth Slowley) [note 1]
– Charity Yeo (baptised 1714 at Swimbridge, married William Pugsley).
Robert Yeo (1667–1733), son of William Yeo and Frances Cliffe, married Margaret Brown and baptised eight children at Merton:

– Francis Yeo (baptised 1695, died as an infant)
– John Yeo (1697–1721, married Mary Short at Shebbear in 1720, no recorded children)

William Yeo (1691–1770, son of Robert Yeo and Margaret Brown) appears not to have left Merton. He married Mary Dunford there in 1729 and they baptised four children there:

James Yeo (1794–1859, son of Joseph Yeo and Ann Mallet) married Ann Counter at South Tawton and baptised four children there:

George Yeo (baptised in 1834 at Merton, son of Robert Yeo and Agnes Bews) emigrated to Ontario, where he married Charlotte Atfield in 1870. They had five children:

George Yeo (1856–1908, son of James Yeo and Mary Ann Gillard) married Josephia Webber at East Stonehouse in 1878, They had three children in Plymouth:

before moving in the early 1880s to London, where their second son was born:

Frederick George Yeo (1879–1952, son of George Yeo and Josephia Webber) was born in Plymouth. He moved to London with his parents, where he married Matilda Blanche Glasscock in 1904. They had at least three children [note 3]:
– Elizabeth Blanche Maynard Yeo (born 1905, married William Charles Harling)
– George Frederick Yeo (1907–1962, married Gladys Violet Westaway, four children)
– Constance May Yeo (born 1911, married William Albert Drew)
– Dorothy Lilian Yeo (1916–1997).
George Robert Yeo (1882–1955, son of George Yeo and Charlotte Atfield) moved to Michigan, where he married Elizabeth Schneider in 1908. They had four children:
– Louis George Yeo (1909–1961, married Elizabeth Clifford)
– Frances Marie Yeo (1911–1995, married Alfred Lozon)
– Bertha Mae Yeo (1915–1996, married Wilbur Leddy)
– Robert John Yeo (1921–1986, married Margaret Decator, two children).
Charles Alfred James Yeo (1885–1953, son of George Yeo and Josephia Webber) [note 4] married Agnes Maria Pond [note 5] in 1909. They had two sons:

– Frederick Charles Yeo (see Frederick Charles Yeo).
