This couple married at the parish church of All Saints, Liverpool in 1911. They were both single, and were 22 and 23 years old respectively.
Herbert Bartholomew Donovan was born in Liverpool in 1889 and died in New York in 1966. Mary Frances Ann Yeo, daughter of Edwin Yeo and Mary Brown, was born Liverpool in 1888. She and Herbert emigrated to the United States on the SS Carinthia in 1927.
Herbert and Mary divorced in New York in 1931. Herbert applied for US citizenship in 1937 – on his application form he stated that he was divorced, had two daughters and that his former wife (who he names as Frances) was living in England.
Mary returned to England and lived until 1967; her death is recorded in Kent.
