William Yeo (baptised 1764, son of Robert Yeo and Elizabeth Bennett of Sampford Courtenay) married Ann Dawes at Black Torrington in 1791 [note 1]. Their eight children were baptised at Sampford Courtenay:

John Yeo (1802–1879, son of William Yeo and Ann Dawes) trained as a shoemaker. He moved to Taunton, where he married Hannah Coles in 1827. They baptised eight children at nonconformist ceremonies in Taunton:

– William Yeo (baptised 1832)
– Elizabeth Yeo (baptised 1834)
– Eliza Yeo (baptised 1837)
– Emma Yeo (born 1838, married John Willey)
– Charlotte Yeo (1843–1922, married Henry Archer in London in 1871)

William Yeo (1805–1890, son of William Yeo and Ann Dawes) was baptised at Sampford Courtenay. He married Jane Brealy [note 2] at Okehampton in 1835. They had five children:
– Sarah Yeo (1836–1896, married John Lovell at Okehampton in 1861)
– Elizabeth Yeo (1838–1858)

– Mary Ann Yeo (1843–1917, married John Horn at Okehampton in 1868)
– John Yeo (see below).
William Yeo (born 1841, son of William Yeo and Jane Brealy) married Susan Westlake at the parish church of All Saints, Okehampton in 1866. They had six children:
– Mary Joanna Yeo (1867–1944, married Lewis John Bues)
– Jane Yeo (1869–1889)
– William George Yeo (1871–1871)
– William Robert Yeo (1872–1955)
– John George Yeo (1874–1949, married Sarah Stamp and Helen Alice Rudall)
– Frederick James Yeo (1846–1877).
Caroline Yeo was born in Taunton in 1848, the youngest daughter of John Yeo and Hannah Coles. She moved to London, married twice, and died in Buckinghamshire in 1913. Her first marriage was to Samuel Quick in 1876: Samuel ran the Maypole Inn at Hitcham, they had no children and Samuel died in 1898. Caroline’s second marriage was in 1905 to widower William Horwood; she died eight years later.
John Yeo (1847–1903, married Elizabeth Watkins Blatchford at Moretonhampstead in 1870. They had six children [note 3]:

1. Confirmation is needed of when William and Ann died.
1a. Mary appears to have been a witness at the marriage of her sister Ann. See Nathaniel Pidgeon and Ann Yeo.
2. Jane’s surname is recorded as Brealey in the parish record of their marriage and as Bealey in some transcribed sources. For Mary Brealy, who married John Yeo, and see Isaac Yeo and Elizabeth Upright.
3. The 1891 census records John and Elizabeth at Beare, a farm a short distance north of Okehampton. John is a farm labourer; their children William, Ellen, Ernest and Mabel are listed with them.
4. John has been confused by some researchers with the John Yeo (1866–1948) who married Catherine Lee.
5. William and Lavinia had a son Frederick John Yeo (1900–1950).
