Photographs

Photographs are always of interest to the genealogist – or to anyone considering the history of a family. Think how often you hear ‘Don’t those brothers look alike?’ or ‘Bless her, she has her grandmother’s eyes!’. Group photographs at weddings and funerals often include relatives who lived some distance away, and their position in the picture can help you to work out who they are.

We have added relevant photographs to various pages would be pleased to add many more.

If you sent photographs to Sheila Yeo, please send them again. If you have not previously sent photographs, we shall be grateful to have them.

We prefer scans made at 300 dots per linear inch, and can work with almost any file format. Please avoid sending photographs in Word documents and don’t use the ‘Scan for Web’ setting on your scanner.

Please use the Contact Us page to send them and give your permission for them to be used.
