James Yeo and Mary Jane Fallis appear to have married in North Dakota, but no record of their marriage has been found [note 1]. They had five children:
– John Austin Yeo (see below)
– Mabel Alphreta Yeo (1887–1985, married Russell Hugh Street)
– Alphena Yeo (1891–1960, married Joshua Thomas Jones)
– Ward Ashley Yeo (see below)
– Serrella Yeo (1898–1984).
John Austin Yeo (1883–1937, son of James Yeo and Mary Jane Fallis) married twice. He had two sons with his first wife Mary Edith Morphy:
– Harold Austin Yeo (1905–1950, married Holly Milden Luscombe, four children)
– John Douglas Yeo (1916–2004, married Agnes Brisbin)
and a further son with his second wife Jean Miriam Jackson:
– Jack Ross Yeo (1920–1991).
Ward Ashley Yeo (1889–1948, son of James Yeo and Mary Jane Fallis) married Carrie Alida Smith in Alberta in 1917. They had six children:
– Earl James Yeo (1918–1996, married Marion Gibbons, one son)
– Marvin Kenneth Yeo (1920–2004, married Isabelle Cameron, three children)
– Arthur Edward Yeo (1922–2014, married Ann Timoshenko, three children)
– Mary Alida Yeo (1924–2004, married Louis Panneton)
– Merrill Ashley Yeo (1925–2014, married Anita Gold, two children, died in Colorado)
– Doreen Yeo (1926–c2015).

1. Sheila Yeo recorded from a census record that James and Mary Jane lived in Crystal, North Dakota, and that their children were born there. They appear to have moved to Ontario about 1910 – such northward migration was unusual. They later moved to Alberta.
