William John Yaw, a great grandson of John Yaw and Sarah Richards of Washfield, near Tiverton, was born in Somerset at North Petherton in 1868. He married Emma Alderman; they lived at Bampton and had three children there, whose births were all recorded with the surname Yeo:
– Robert James Yeo (born 1894, married Bessie Clarke, one son)
– William Yeo (1895–1919)
– Frederick Yeo (see Frederick Yeo and Ethel Mary Knight)
before moving to Hampshire and having five more children:
– John Yeo (1900–1970)
– Dorothy Emma Yeo (1902–1937)
– Edward Yeo (born 1906)
– Bessie Yeo (born 1910, married Harold Wilmer).
