This pedigree was originally compiled from research that Sheila Yeo carried out in 2004 with a correspondent in Australia. It is likely that some parts of it need further research.
Thomas Yeo (1772–1837), the only son of John Yeo and Elizabeth Philp of Werrington) married Elizabeth Mason at Boyton in 1793. They baptised ten children at Werrington:
– Elizabeth Yeo (baptised 1794, married William Stanbury, daughter Susan Yeo Stanbury, 1836–1905)

– Joanna Yeo (1803–1890, died in Canada) [note 1]
– Mary Yeo (baptised 1805)
– Susanna Yeo (1805–1806)

– Thomazine Yeo (1815–1858).
John Yeo (1796–1864 [note 2], son of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Mason) married Maria Mason at Werrington in 1825. They had seven children:
– William Mason Yeo (1826–1828)
– John Yeo (1828–1864, moved to Devonport, married Fanny Clarke in 1859) [note 3]
– William Yeo (baptised 1831 at Tetcott, had eight children with his wife Mary Ann [note 4], including Charles Yeo)
– Keziah Yeo (1834–1835)
– Kezia Mason Yeo (1837–1838)
– Thomas Yeo (1839–1908, married Ann Oliver, three sons)
– Charles Yeo (see below).
Thomas Yeo (baptised 1801 at Werrington, son of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Mason) married twice. His first marriage was in 1828 to Jane Crocker [note 5] at St Stephen, a short distance south of Werrington. They had a son:

Thomas’s second marriage was to Elizabeth Lillycrap [note 6] at St Stephen in 1838. No children are recorded from this marriage.
Charles Yeo (1812–1923, son of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Mason) married Mary Goodman at North Petherwin in 1833. They baptised four children at Werrington before emigrating to Canada in 1840 [note 7]:
– John Yeo (baptised 1833) [note 7a]
– Elizabeth Ann Yeo (baptised 1834, emigrated with her parents)
– Charles Yeo (baptised 1836) [note 8]
– Charles Yeo (1837–1862, emigrated with his parents).
Charles Yeo (baptised at St Stephen, near Launceston in 1828, son of Thomas Yeo and Jane Crocker) emigrated to Australia on the SS Blackheath in 1853. He married Mary Schooling at Collingwood, Victoria the same year; they had three sons before Mary’s death in 1886:

– William Yeo (see below).
Charles later married English emigrant Georgina Everist [note 9] in Melbourne in 1888. They had a daughter:
– Florence Everist Yeo (1889–1965).
William Yeo (1809–1884, son of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Mason) married twice. He had three children with his first wife Ann Bassett [note 10]:

– Elizabeth Anne Yeo (1838–1905, married George Bloye, died in Illinois)
– Nicholas William Bassett Yeo (born 1843 at Bridgerule).
Ann died in 1867; William re-married the following year. He had two children with his second wife Mary Ann Bartlett:

– William John Yeo.
Thomas Yeo (1835–1898, son of William Yeo and Ann Bassett) was baptised at Bridgerule. He married Margery Creeper Lane at Lawhitton in 1857 [note 11]. They had four children:
– William Noah Yeo (1862–1925, married Clara Rundle)
– Charles Yeo
– Elizabeth Ann Yeo (born 1868)
– Thomas Yeo (born 1871).
Charles Yeo (1841–1920, son of John Yeo and Maria Mason) married Mary Jane Lee. They had two children:
– Kezia Jane Yeo (1866–1958, married William Sangwin)
– John Yeo (see below).
Charles Henry Yeo (1855–1937, son of Charles Yeo and Mary Schooling) married Elizabeth Jane Garden in Cohuna, Victoria and moved with her to New Zealand, where he died. They had seven children:
– John Charles Yeo (see John Charles Yeo and Elizabeth Hickox)
– Frank Yeo (1879–1943, moved to New Zealand, married Edith Cocks)
– Thomas Douglas Yeo (see below)
– William Elphinstone Yeo (1883–1963)

– Elsie Jane Schooling Yeo (1888–1966)
– Doris Winifred Yeo (1891–1963, moved to New Zealand, married Hubert Hutton).
Thomas Yeo (1857–1919, son of Charles Yeo and Mary Schooling) married Dinah Hart. They lived at Kerang, Victoria, where their three children were born:
– Nathaniel Ernest Yeo (born 1885, married Annie McMeekin, four children)

– Ivy M. Yeo (born 1889).
William Yeo (1860–1937, son of Charles Yeo and Mary Schooling) married Elizabeth Bell Laughlin. They had five children:
– Mary Maria Ethel Yeo (1888–1962, married Roy William Wallace) [note 12]
– Charles Percy Yeo (1889–1889)
– William John Albert Yeo (1890–1890)
– Ernest Stanley Yeo (1891–1961, married Phillis Hawthorn Roberts, three children)
– Gaillardia Hannah Yeo (1893–1972, married James Knox Walker) [note 13].
John Yeo (1870–1956, son of Charles Yeo and Mary Jane Lee) married Bessie Ann Burnard at Pyworthy in 1914. They had four children:
– John Charles Yeo (1915–2003, married Evelyn Joan Daniel)
– Thomas Burnard Yeo (1916–1991, married 1951)
– Mary Bray Yeo (1919–2008, married Donald Maxwell Hines)
– Margaret Annie Yeo (1921–2003, married Alfred William Johnson).
Thomas Douglas Yeo (1881–1962, son of Charles Henry Yeo and Elizabeth Jane Garden) married Susan Eliza Dhu [note 14] at Perth, Western Australia in 1910. Their five children were born in Perth:

– Eva Doris Yeo (1914–2008, married John Francis Dunham)
– Frederick Gordon Yeo (1916–2001, married Kathleen Margaret Flynn, two children)
– Frank Douglas Yeo (1918–1980)

Charles Yeo (1888–1983, son of Thomas Yeo and Dinah Hart) married twice. With his first wife Catherine Jessie Michael [note 15] he had six children:
– Thomas Albert Yeo (1915–1986, married Mona Langley, two daughters)
– John Michael Yeo (1917–2015, married Dorothy Catherine Robinson, two children)
– Charles Francis Yeo (1920–2007, married Jessie Evelyn Spurr, one daughter)
– Keith Yeo (1922–1940)
– Dorothy Catherine Yeo (1925–2010, married Leonard Dunsbee Farrell)
– William Leigh Yeo (see below).
After Catherine’s death in 1940, Charles married Beryl Emmeline Messsenger [note 16]. They had four daughters.
William Leigh Yeo (1928–2015, son of Charles Yeo and Catherine Jessie Michael) married Judith Mary Bremner in 1950. They had four daughters, including;
– Robyn Marilyn Yeo (1952–1953).

Notes
1. Joanna died at Little Britain, Ontario – she was recorded as Johanna Yeo, age 87, ‘maiden lady’.
2. Date of death subject to confirmation. Death registered at Stoke Damerel, age 67 – John might have been staying with his son John, who died later the same year.
3. John was baptised at Tetcott on 13 September 1828 – for another John Yeo baptised at Tetcott in the same year, see under Thomas Yeo and Mary Smitheram. Fanny appears to have re-married in 1865 (to Thomas Rourke) and in 1884 (to Charles Francis Dashwood) and to have died in 1900.
4. Mary has not been identified. Some researchers incorrectly show her as Mary Ann Neale, who married a different William Yeo at St Giles in the Heath in 1857.

6. The 1851 census records Thomas – a 50-year-old shoemaker – at St Stephen with his 37-year-old wife Elizabeth and lodgers Elizabeth Holman and John Baker (a shoemaker, who might have been working with Thomas). Thomas had an apprentice John Yeo Way in 1841.
7. They sailed from Falmouth on the SS Royal Adelaide, arriving at New York in 21 April.

11. The 1871 census records Thomas and Margery at Lower Banham, Lawhitton. Thomas is 36, was born at Bridgerule, and is farming 160 acres. Margery is 39 and was born at Lawitton, as were their children William N. Yeo (age 8), Charles Yeo (6), Elizabeth A. Yeo (2) and Thomas Yeo (1 month). Also in the household are Thomas’s father William Yeo (age 62, born at Werrington), his brother William’s wife Mary A. Yeo (age 30, recorded as his mother-in-law) and his first cousin Bessie A. Yeo (age 1, recorded as his sister-in-law) and 14-year-old domestic servant Susanna Gregory.
