James Yeo was baptised at Atherington in 1799, the third son of John Yeo and Elizabeth Punchard. He died in 1867.
He married Elizabeth Smith in Marwood in 1827. They baptised four children at Marwood, of whom their son James Yeo married Betsy Laramy and had ten children (see James Yeo – from rags to riches).
Of these ten children, Alfred Yeo (born 1862) married Louisa Jackson and had six children, following which he – and perhaps all his family too – emigrated to Australia. He died in New South Wales in 1934.
