William Yeo (1617–1699, son of George Yeo and Susan Tillard) [note 1] was one of a number of ministers expelled from the Church of England in the 17th century for expressing nonconformist religious views. They refused to adhere to the Book of Common Prayer as specified in the 1662 Act of Uniformity.
William had eight children with his wife Elizabeth, including:
– Ann Yeo (1647–1719, married William Noise in 1675 and Henry Drake in 1682)
– Amy Yeo (baptised 1656 [note 2], married Richard Stevens in 1697)
– William Yeo (1658–1726, married Susanna Youlden and Elizabeth Oliver).
