Henry Yeo and Jane Geake

Henry Yeo (1859–1887, son of William Yeo and Sarah Milford) married twice. He first married Jane Geake in 1855; they lived at Lifton in Devon, where they had two sons (who both became church minsters). Henry and Jane emigrated to Australia with their sons, and settled in the state of Victoria:

– Henry Yeo (see below).
Jane died in 1870; Henry married Catherine Billing in 1873, with whom he had a further son:
– Alfred John Yeo (born 1875, marred Hannah Eva, five children).

Richard Yeo (1856–1916, son of Henry Yeo and Jane Geake) married Elizabeth McKindlay in 1884. They had eight children [note 1]:
– Helen Beatrice Yeo (1885–1961)
– Richard James Garfield Yeo (1887–1974, married Elizabeth Ellen Bennetts)
– Ruby Yeo (1888–1961)
– Henry Robert Stanley Yeo (1890–1980, married Jessie Mary Mills)
– William Gordon Yeo (1892–1964, married Edith Irene King)
– Andrew Victor Yeo (1894–1986, married Mavis Dorothy Walklate, one son)
– Victoria Dorothy Hope Yeo (1900–1958)
– Ormond Neil Yeo (1904–1976, married Gertrude May Holland).

Henry Yeo (1859–1887, son of Henry Yeo and Jane Geake) married Sarah Ann Allan in 1884. They had six children:
– Henry Gladstone Yeo (1885–1941, married Bridget Teresa Foley, daughter Ida Teresa Yeo, 1928–1989)
– Norman Wyatt Yeo (1886–1950, married Eva Agnes Thompson) [note 2]
– Violet Ada Yeo (1888–1915)
– Eva Yeo (1890–1933)
– Allan Yeo (1892–1937, married Margaret Johnston)
– Stella Jane Yeo (1900–1953, married William Morgan Mamouney, died in England).

1. There might have bean a ninth child born about two years after Ormond.
2. Norman’s obituary records that he was chairman of the Australian Wool Board and that he died at East Malvern, Victoria.
