Notes
1. Marriage registered 1884 at Tiverton; the family surname is sometimes recorded as Yaw or Yawe. John died between 1921 and 1939. Susan is recorded in Dorset in the 1939 Register, a 72-year-old widow living at 212A High Street, Poole; her sons Edward and Victor are listed with her. She died in 1943
2. These children were born in Devon, but moved with their parents to south Wales about 1909, where some of them married and died. Some researchers have included a son James Yeo (1893–1960), but he is not part of this family – his parents were Samuel Yeo and Emma Ridgway.
3. William died in France while serving with the Royal Field Artillery.
