The 84 people listed with the surname Atyeo in the 1881 census [note 1] were living in five different counties, as follows: 1 in Devon, 7 in Glamorganshire, 4 in Gloucestershire, 3 in Nottinghamshire and 69 in Somerset. Another was recorded at Sydney on the Royal Navy steam sloop HMS Miranda.
