The 1851 census records 59-year-old master wheelwright John Lydford in Church Lane, Wincanton. Listed with him are his wife Hannah (age 52) and his sons Charles (26, a shipwright), George (15, an apprentice to a cabinet maker) and William (12, apprenticed to a tailor).
John Lydford and Hannah Yeo had married in 1822 at the parish church in Wincanton. They appear to have been several other children [note 1].
Hannah’s parents John and Hannah Yeo had at least two other daughters, including Elizabeth Yeo [note 2].
