Daniel Ross Yeo (1806–1885, son of John Yeo and Jane Macey Ross) was the first of four men to bear this name. He was baptised at Stoke Damerel in 1806 and married Charlotte Brown [note 1] at Ide in 1826. They moved to the Exeter parish of St Sidwell, where they baptised a daughter and a son:
– Lavinia Joanne Charlotte Yeo (1827–1891, married Frederick Phillips at Marylebone in 1853)
– Daniel Ross Yeo (see below).
Daniel Ross Yeo (1830–1901, son of Daniel Ross Yeo and Charlotte Brown) married Harriett Sarah Hooper [note 2] at St Sidwell, Exeter in 1851. They had a daughter in Exeter:
– Harriet Lavinia Yeo (1852–1918, married Albert Henry Percival Snow at the London parish church of St Matthew, Bedford New Town in 1873)
before moving to London and having seven further children:
– Daniel Ross Yeo (see below)
– Charles Yeo (see below)
– Henry Hooper Yeo (see below)
– Charlotte Yeo (1860–1919, married Charles Philip Coles at St Matthew, Bedford New Town in 1882)
– Frederick Yeo – for his son Daniel Ross Yeo see below
– Walter Albert Yeo (1862–1900, married Alice Jane Beetles at St Matthew, Bedford New Town in 1887 [note 3])
– William Yeo (1865–1865).
Daniel Ross Yeo (1854–1902, son of Daniel Ross Yeo and Harriet Sarah Hooper) married Emma Louisa Leonard in 1878. They had five children:
– Leonard Ross Yeo (see below)
– Louisa Mary Yeo (born 1881, married Charles Gladstone Risley)
– Robert Walter Yeo (1884–1935, married Elizabeth Frances Fisher in 1910, son Leonard Robert Yeo, 1912–1938)
– Alfred Daniel Yeo (1886–1964, married Fanny Florence Houghton at St Andrew, Barnsbury in 1915)
– Harry Samuel Yeo (1892–1916, died in France, see War deaths)
Charles Yeo (1856–1905, son of Daniel Ross Yeo and Harriett Sarah Hooper) married Anne Prouse at St Anne, Islington in 1878. They had five children:
– Lena Temperance Jane Yeo (1879–1941, married Henry Charles Rawlinson in 1899)
– Daniel Henry George Yeo (1881–1960, married Emily Coleman at St John, Bethnal Green in 1918)
– Charles William Yeo (1885–1955, married Edith Bessie Robinson at St John, Hammersmith in 1922 and Rose Hannah Haile at St Paul, Ealing in 1924)
– Edith Annie Yeo (1890–1953, married Frederick Charles Bryant at St John, Ealing in 1914)
– Florence Mabel Yeo (1892–1966, married Clarence Lewarne in 1914 [note 4] and Stephen John Farley in London in 1936).
Henry Hooper Yeo (1858–1905, son of Daniel Ross Yeo and Harriett Sarah Hooper) married Louisa Povey at St Matthew, Bedford New Town in 1882. They had three children:
– Francis Ross Yeo (1883–1965, married Minnie Manser at All Saints, Camden Street in 1908, died in Michigan)
– Henry Arthur Yeo (1885–1982, married Florence Cowling at Islington Register Office in 1911)
– Louise Ethel Yeo (1887–1963 [note 5], married Arthur George Parry in 1916).
Leonard Ross Yeo (1879–1955, son of Daniel Ross Yeo and Emma Louisa Leonard) married Martha Elizabeth Evans at St John the Baptist, Kentish Town in 1907. They had two daughters:
– Dorothy Louise Yeo (1908–1973)
– Betty Edna Yeo (1920–2014, married Alan Hamilton Parker in London in 1941).
Daniel Ross Yeo (1882–1946, son of Frederick Yeo and Alexandria Ramsden) married Sarah Frances Taylor at St Saviour, Battersea in 1906. They had a son:
– Daniel Albert Yeo (1908–1973, married Rosie Margaret Duggan [note 6] in London in 1937, daughters born in 1939 and 1942).
Sarah died in 1908, shortly after the birth of their son. Daniel re-married in 1921; no children are recorded from his second marriage, to Beatrice Smart in Gloucestershire in 1921.
