Samuel John Yeo was born at Tywardreath in 1871 to parents Samuel Yeo and Elizabeth Curtis.
He died in 1933 at Smedley’s Hydro in Martock, Derbyshire [note 1] at the age of 63. His death certificate records him as a motor garage proprietor of 25 Queens Road in the St Thomas district of Exeter and the informant as his widow Alice Maud Yeo [note 2].

1. Was Samuel perhaps in Martock with his wife for a health cure, ‘taking the waters’ in this spa town? He died from a condition affecting his kidneys and arteries.
2. Samuel John Yeo and Alice Maud Dymond had married in Exeter in 1887. Their daughter Doris Maude Helen Yeo was born in 1898 and died unmarried in 1976.
