Thomas Lyde Gale was baptised at Sidmouth in 1810. He emigrated to Quebec and married Prudence Ann Yeo at the Anglican cathedral in Montreal in 1933.
Prudence appears to have been baptised at Stoke Damerel in 1814 and to have emigrated with her parents James Yeo and Susanah Pryor. She was the youngest of their seven children.
