William Amos Yeo (1821–1896) was baptised at Stoke Damerel [note 1]. He married Mary Wheaton Baddeley at Brixham in 1852; the births of their six children were registered at East Stonehouse:

– William Frederick Yeo (see below)
– Mary Elizabeth Yeo (born 1857)
– Samuel Ebenezer Yeo (1860–1916) [note 3]
– Emma Baddeley Yeo (born 1863)
– Alice Maud Yeo (1867–1900, married Thomas Henry Edward Williams).
William Frederick Yeo (born 1854, son of William Amos Yeo and Mary Wheaton Baddeley) married Alice Elizabeth John in Plymouth in 1878. They had three children:
– William Frederick Yeo (1879–1942)
– Alice Beatrice Orient Yeo (1883–1957)
– Edith Blanch Violet Yeo (1886–1886).

Notes
1. Son of John Yeo and Sarah Thomas. William’s 1821 baptism record shows his parents’ forenames clearly, and gives his father’s occupation as ‘hatmaker’. William’s 1852 marriage certificate identifies his father as James and records his occupation as ‘hatter’. Previous researchers have incorrectly identified William’s parents as Thomas Yeo and Sarah Tapp.
2. Baptised in 1886 at the age of 33.
3. Birth registered as Samuel Ebenezar Yeo.
