George Yeo and Elizabeth Barnsby

Please read About Families before using any of the information on this page.

George Yeo (1769–1845) was baptised at Holsworthy [note 1] to parents George and Elizabeth Yeo. He married twice.

George’s first marriage was to Ann Patterson in London in 1795. There is no record of any children from this marriage, although Patterson was used as a forename for two children from George’s second marriage. This was to Elizabeth Barnsby in Kent in 1802 [note 2]; they had five children [note 3]:
– George Patterson Yeo (1802–1825)
James Yeo
– William Yeo (born 1808)
– Ann Patterson Yeo (1811–1889)
– Richard Macartney Yeo (born 1814).

Notes
1. Baptised on the same day as his twin brother James Yeo. Did James marry Susanna Patterson and baptise a son George Patterson Yeo?
2. Married at the parish church in Tenterden.
3. All five children were baptised at Rye, Sussex on the same day in 1815.
