The 1939 Register records 59-year-old Thomas Yeo in Wokingham, Berkshire, living at the Angel Inn. His occupation is shown as ‘carpenter & joiner & builder’ but he might also have been the licensee. Also listed are 60-year-old Rosina J. Yeo and 31-year-old Mary Yeo. Rosina and Mary each have ‘household duties’ recorded as their occupation – they might also have been running the public house.
Thomas Yeo (1879–1964) was the third of four children of William Yeo and Mary Charlotte Holloway. He married Rosina Jane Lee at the parish church in Swallowfield in 1908. They had one daughter:
– Mary Yeo (1911–1989, married Albert John Blackmore).
