William Lionel Yeo and Violet Maud Sparks

The passenger list for the Cunard liner RMS Queen Elizabeth, which left Southampton on 23 June 1949 bound for New York, includes 36-year-old William Yeo (occupation conductor), his wife Violet Yeo (age 34, occupation housewife) and their only daughter (age 1). The passenger list shows their last address in the United Kingdom as 11 Twickenham Road, London E11, their destination port as New York and their country of intended future permanent residence as the U.S.A.

William Lionel Yeo had been born in 1913 to parents Frederick Francis Yeo and Alice Ethel Bone, and had married Violet Maud Sparks in 1938. They settled in California, where Violet died in 1988; William died there the following year. Their only daughter was born in 1947 and is named in the passenger list described above.
