Edmond Gore Yeo (1861–1923) was the youngest of three sons of Henry Yeo and Jane Ann Ferns, and was well travelled. He was born at Houth, near Dublin, married Emily Louisa Kermode in Australia, lived in Switzerland and Jersey, and died in London. The 1911 census records Edmond in Jersey, age 50, occupation ‘private means’. He died in London in 1923; Emily survived him by just over eight years.
Edmond and Emily had four children:
– Robert Henry Desmond Gore Yeo (see below)
– Gladys Elizabeth Gore Yeo (born in 1890 in Ireland)
– Valerie Mignon Gore Yeo (1893–1973) [note 1]
– Cyril Frederick Gore Yeo (born c1895 in Italy; at boarding school in Nottinghamshire 1911).
Robert Henry Desmond Gore Yeo (son of Edmond Gore Yeo and Emily Louisa Kermode) was born in Melbourne in 1891. He married Marjorie Annie Elwyn Lewis at the parish church of St Stephen, Paddington in 1926. He died in Sussex in 1947.
