Albina was Canadian, born at Summerside, Prince Edward Island in 1869. At her baptism in 1872 she was recorded as Nancy Albina Yeo, her father as James Yeo, a farmer, and her mother as Kate Yeo. James was a descendant of Kilkhampton emigrants James Yeo and Grace Francis.
By the time of the 1911 census, Winslow and Albina were living in Annapolis, Nova Scotia with children Loyd (age 18), Alice (17) and Irene (7). Winslow was a cook on a steamboat and Loyd worked for a grocer.
