William Barriball and Deborah Jessie Yeo

Please read About Families before using any of the information on this page.

William Barriball, a farmer from Werrington, married Deborah Jessie Yeo at the United Free Methodist Church in Launceston in 1909.

Deborah Jessie Yeo (1881–1934) was the youngest of nine children of William Yeo [note 1] and Mary Ann Neale, who married at St Giles in the Heath in 1857; their other children were:
– Ann Yeo (1861–1944, married George Thomas Ellacott in 1887)
– William Yeo (1863–1919)
– Thomas Yeo (1865–1932)
– Dorothy Jane Yeo (1867–1919)
– Charles Yeo
– Joseph Yeo (1872–1919, married Emily Sanders in 1909)
– Jessy Yeo (1874–1880)
– Ellen Yeo (1877–1917).

Note
1. 1830–1907. William might have been the eldest son of John Yeo and Drew Ann Smale, but research is required to confirm it. It is possible that he had been married twice before he married Mary Ann, but this seems unlikely. He might first have married Hannah Burnell (daughter Emmeline Bessie Yeo, 1853–1926, emigrated to Australia, married William Henry Vivian) and secondly Thirza Trick at Luffincott in 1853 (children John Yeo, born 1854, and Mary Maria Yeo, 1856–1879). Can anyone unravel this?
