Humphrey Yeo and Jane Hambley

This pedigree was originally drafted from research carried out by Sheila Yeo and her correspondent Helen Beeby.

Humphrey Yeo (baptised c1619 at Launcells, son of John Yeo and Frances Holman) married Jane Hambley at St Mabyn in 1685. They had three sons:
– Richard Yeo (baptised c1687, five children) [note 1]
– Humphrey Yeo (see below)
– Giles Yeo (baptised 1689 at Week St Mary, married Mary Lye, four children).

Humphrey Yeo (baptised 1686 at St Mabyn, son of Humphrey Yeo and Jane Hambley) married Mary Pethick at St Stephen – a parish a short distance north of Launceston – in 1708. They baptised eight children at St Stephen:
– Charles Yeo (1711–1720)
– Mary Yeo (1713–1720)
– Humphrey Yeo (1716–1720)
John Yeo
– Humphrey Yeo (see below)
– Nicholas Yeo (see below)
– Thomas Yeo (baptised 1726)
– Elizabeth Yeo (baptised 1728).

Humphrey Yeo (1720–1760, son of Humphrey Yeo and Mary Pethick) lived his whole life at St Stephen. He and his wife Elizabeth [note 2] baptised seven children there:
– John Yeo (baptised 1743)
– Thomas Yeo (see below)
– Mary Yeo (baptised 1749, married Anthony Calloway)
– Margery Yeo (baptised 1753)
– Charles Yeo (baptised 1755, married Jane Phillips, three children)
Richard Yeo
– Elizabeth Yeo (1760–1828, married Richard Dunn).

Nicholas Yeo (baptised 1724 at St Stephen, son of Humphrey Yeo and Mary Pethick) married Mary Williams at Egloskerry in 1744. They had a son:
– William Yeo (1747–1804, married Susan Tilly at Egloskerry in 1792, son John Yeo).

Thomas Yeo (1746–1823, son of Humphrey and Elizabeth Yeo), married Mary Fetherstone at St Stephen in 1767. They baptised four children at St Stephen:
William Yeo
– Grace Yeo (baptised 1772)
– Philip Yeo (baptised 1777)
– John Yeo (baptised 1781) [note 3].

Notes
1. No marriage record for Richard has been found – he was buried at Week St Mary in 1742. He baptised children Elizabeth Yeo (1712), Mary Yeo (1714), Richard Yeo (1716), George Yeo (1718) and George Yeo (1719) at Week St Mary; his fourth child George Yeo was buried there in 1718.
2. Recorded by some researchers as Phillipa. No marriage record has been found.
