Charles Yeo and Jessie Tubb

The 1911 census for Tetcott, near Holsworthy, records 40-year-old Charles Yeo farming at East Peek and gives his birthplace as St Giles [note 1]. Listed with him are his wife Jessie (age 39, born at Blagdon, Ashwater), his three children Fernly Charles (7), William James (6) and Doris Minnie (4), and 23-year-old farm worker Hebber Tidball.

Charles Yeo (1870–1918) was the third son of William and Mary Ann Yeo. He married Jessie Tubb in 1903. Their three children, matching the 1911 census return, were born at East Peek:
Fernley Charles Yeo
– William James Yeo (1904–1973, married Mary Gwendoline Keast)
– Doris Minnie Yeo (1907–1956, married Cephas Cole).
