Sydney George Yeo (1911–1992) was been born in London to parents Charles Alfred James Yeo and Agnes Maria Pond. He took over from his father as landlord of The Hare in Cambridge Road, Bethnal Green in 1928.
The 1939 Register records Sydney at 131 Old Church Road, Chingford. He is a special constable with the Metropolitan Police and the only other person listed is Elizabeth Long, a widow born in 1888, who might have been a relative of his wife.
Sydney and Elsie had one son:
– Colin Charles Yeo (born 1942).
