Isaac Yeo was baptised at Inwardleigh in 1832 [note 1]. He was working as a tailor when he married Emily Eastman at Okehampton in 1856; he lived until 1906.
Isaac and Emily had nine children:
– William Yeo (born 1856)
– Richard Yeo (1858–1918, married Adeline Quance, six children)
– Frederick Eastman Yeo (see below)
– Henry Yeo (1862–1912, married Rebecca Jane Laurence)
– Jessie Yeo (born 1864)
– Alfred Eastman Yeo (born 1867)
– Susan Yeo (born 1869)
– Sidney Eastman Yeo (born 1871)
– Annie Mary Yeo (born 1873, married Henry Blackmore).
Frederick Eastman Yeo (born 1861, son of Isaac Yeo and Mary Eastman) married Edith Mary Howe [note 2]. They had two sons:
– Stanley Frederick Yeo (born 1891) [note 3]
– Ernest Bickerton Yeo (1908–1980, married Kathleen Caroline Knight).

1. Isaac’s mother Johanna Yeo was unmarried. Her parents were Isaac Yeo and Mary Hammett.
2. The 1911 census for 50 Stanhope Gardens in the Haringay area of north London lists 50-year-old Frederick Eastman Yeo, a harness maker born in Okehampton. In his household are his wife Edith Mary Yeo (age 45, born in Kent), his son Ernest Bickerton Yeo (age 2) and his mother-in-law Mary Ann Howe (age 80).
3. No further records found; presumed to have died as an infant.
