The passenger list for the SS Megantic, which left Liverpool on 7 August 1920 bound for Canada, included 24-year-old Margery Irene Yea [note 1] from Newton Abbot, travelling with her married sister Rosetta Preddice.
Margery was booked to disembark at Montreal and continue overland to join her married sister Hilda Haynes. Hilda’s address is given as 826 Seymour Street, Vancouver, so she was facing quite a long journey.
