William Yeo and Charity Smyth

William Yeo (baptised 1671, son of Robert Yeo and Margaret Brown), married Charity Smyth at Great Torrington in 1697; William is recorded in the same parish as a weaver. Their children included a son called William (see below).

William Yeo (1700–1765, son of William Yeo and Charity Smyth) married Wilmot Aller at Sampford Courtenay in 1723. They baptised three children in the same parish:
– Ann Yeo (baptised 1724)
– Robert Yeo (baptised 1727, married Elizabeth Bennett)
– Joseph Yeo (baptised 1733).

Robert Yeo (baptised 1727, son of William Yeo and Wilmot Aller) married Elizabeth Bennett at Sampford Courtenay in 1753 and baptised two children in the same parish:
– Ann Yeo (baptised 1754
– William Yeo (see William Yeo and Ann Dawes)
There appears to be no record of Elizabeth’s burial, but Robert subsequently married Mary Frost at Sampford Courtenay in 1773. They baptised two more children there:
– Joseph Yeo (baptised 1773)
– Richard Yeo (see below).

Richard Yeo (baptised 1779 at Sampford Courtenay, son of Robert Yeo and Mary Frost) married Mary Arscott in 1801. There appear to have been no children from this marriage, and Mary died three years later. Richard moved to London, where he married Mary Packer in 1816. They had four children:
– Caroline Mary Yeo (baptised 1816, married Robert Byers)
– Frederick William Yeo (baptised 1818)
– Amelia Yeo (baptised 1819)
– William Yeo (see below).

William Yeo (baptised 1821 in Highgate, son of Richard Yeo and Mary Arscott) married Mary Ann Brooker in Shoreditch in 1847. They had two children before their marriage:
– Mary Ann Yeo (born 1844)
– William Frederick Yeo (born 1846)
and seven children afterwards:
– Edward Yeo (see Edward Yeo and Rosina Elizabeth Coles)
– Richard Yeo (born 1849)
– Caroline Yeo (born 1851)
– Lizzy Emma Yeo (born 1853, married Richard Engley)
– Maria Yeo (born 1855)
– Alfred Yeo (born 1857)
– James Henry Yeo (1859–1910, married Ellen Jemima Coles).
