James Yeo and Elizabeth Smith

James Yeo (1799–1867, third son of John Yeo and Elizabeth Punchard) was baptised at Atherington and married Elizabeth Smith in Marwood in 1827. They baptised four children at Marwood:
– Thomas Yeo (baptised 1828)
– James Yeo (see below)
– John Yeo (baptised 1834)
– Eliza Yeo (baptised 1835).

James Yeo (1830–1887, son of James Yeo and Elizabeth Smith) married Betsy Laramy and had ten children:
– Eliza Alice Yeo (1857–1926, married John Coats)
– Ann Elizabeth Yeo (1858–1885)
– James Yeo (see James Yeo – from rags to riches)
– John Yeo (born 1861)
– Alfred Yeo (see below)
– Thomas Yeo (1863–1894)
– George Yeo (born 1865)
– Emily Yeo (born 1868) [note 1]
– Gertrude Yeo (1870–1951, married Herbert William Pooley)
– Herbert William Yeo (1872–1938, married Harriet Florence Gay, one son).

Alfred Yeo (1861–1934, son of James Yeo and Betsy Laramy) married Louisa Jackson. Their six children were born in England before they emigrated:
– Annie Priscilla Yeo (1884–1927, married James Wilson Dott, died in South Africa)
– Alfred James Yeo (born 1885)
– John Laramy Yeo (1887–1954, married Denise Speer, died in Australia)
– Herbert Jackson Yeo (1888–1917) [note 2]
– Reginald Stanley Yeo (1891–1892)
– Sydney Thomas Yeo (1894–1895).
Alfred and Louisa emigrated to South Africa about 1905 with their four surviving children; they moved on to Australia in 1907, and both died in New South Wales.
