Richard Fletcher Yeo (1842–1913) was the third son of George Yeo and Elizabeth Fletcher, who married at Ipplepen in 1834. For his older brother William see William Fletcher Yeo and Elizabeth Churchward.
Richard married Matilda Churchward at Wolborough in 1865. They had two children:
– Florence Yeo (1867–1952)
– Albert Winsor Yeo (1868–1956, married Leonora Gilbert) [note 1]
before emigrating to the United States and settling in Massachusetts. They had three children there:
– Richard Louis Yeo (see Richard Louis Yeo and Henrietta Gertrude Lubbock)
– Frank Churchward Yeo (1875–1958)
– George Ernest Yeo (born 1877 in Massachusetts)
before returning to England and having two further children [note 2]:
– Ethel May Yeo (1880–1962, married Arthur Howard Kenwrick)
– Beatrice Maud Yeo (1882–1972, married Montague George Smith).
After Matilda’s death in 1907, Richard Fletcher Yeo married Ellen Furneaux Heath [note 3] at the parish church of St Andrew, Plymouth in 1912. He died in Torquay the following year; Ellen died in 1928.

1. Albert became a Methodist minister. He and Leonora had a daughter Florence Yeo (1904–1919).
2. The 1901 census for East Street, Bovey Tracey, records 58-year-old builder and contractor Richard Fletcher Yeo with his wife Matilda (age 57), son George E. Yeo (age 24, a piano tuner) and daughter Beatrice M. Yeo (age 19).
