Thomas Yeo married Ann Hayles in Cambridgeshire in 1853. The ceremony took place at the parish church of All Saints in the village of Melbourn, some ten miles south west of Cambridge. Thomas is recorded as the son of Richard Yeo; Ann as the daughter of James Hayles.
Little else is known about this couple, and no record of Thomas’s birth has been found. However, they might have emigrated to Australia. Sheila Yeo recorded the birth in Ashbourne, Victoria in 1854 of Mary Ann Elizabeth Dorothea Yeo, daughter of Thomas and Ann Yeo, a birth that has not been assigned to any of the known emigrant families.
