Thomas Veal and Jane Yeo married in 1856 at the parish church in Clawton in north Devon.
Jane was baptised at nearby Thornbury in 1835 to single mother Ann Yeo [note 1]. Ann’s parents have not been identified and nothing further is known about Thomas and Jane – did they emigrate?
