Notes
1. The 1881 census records William and Mary Anne in Christian Malford, where William is a shopkeeper. They have four children.
2. No record of Thomas’s death has been found. His Irish-born wife Mary died in London in 1917.
3. 1878–1956, later married Charles Rolfe.
4. The 1939 Register lists 53-year-old boot repairer William H. Pratt at 5 Sandrock, a street in Haslemere, Surrey. Listed with William are his wife Annie E. Pratt, also aged 53, and 28-year-old Evelyn M. Ramplin.
5. Sheila Yeo looked into Frederick’s line of descent in 1991, but was unable to contact any members of his family. She traced his line back to Daniel Yeo and Barbara Easton, providing a framework for the pedigree set out on this page.
6. Following William’s death, Florence emigrated to Canada with her daughters in 1910. She married Peter Anderson in Winnipeg in 1911 and had four further children with him. She died in 1919.
