William Henry Yeo and Elizabeth Mary Shutts

Please read About Families before using any of the information on this page.

William Henry Yeo – born in Seneca County, New York in 1839 – was the youngest of four sons of Thomas Buren Yeo. He married Elizabeth Mary Shutts at Waterloo in Seneca County in 1867, but the 1880 census finds them in Des Moines, Iowa, where William’s occupation is recorded as a moulder. Twenty years later, William and Elizabeth had moved to Chicago [note 1].

Their nine children were:
– Lewis Sandford Yeo (1868–1910)
– Thomas Buren Yeo (1870–1945) [note 2]
– James Edward Yeo (born 1872)
– Minnie Yeo (1872–1873)
– Clara Elizabeth Yeo (1873–1938)
– Francis Yeo (1875–1902)
– Frederick Yeo (1878–1949)
– William Henry Yeo (1881–1965)
– Jessie Yeo (1887–1929).

Elizabeth died in Chicago in 1905. William himself lived until 1911 and died in Texas, possibly at the home of his son Thomas Buren Yeo.
